With the end of the year fast approaching, many of us are on the hunt for a great way to usher in 2017. New Year’s Eve is an all-important celebration – it’s a chance to bid adieu to a year that has been filled with ups and downs and welcome 365 whole new days filled to the brim with opportunities.

If you’re in Cape Town and haven’t found a great way to celebrate on the 31st of December, here’s a list of what you can look forward to:

If a night of dancing under the stars is your thing, you might want to pop around to the Roundhouse and Rumbullion for their New Year’s Eve festivities. Expect the cocktails to flow freely at this event, and boogie until sunrise with a bunch of fabulous people all looking forward to a brand new year. This one’s not quite for the kids, so you may wish to hire a sitter for the night.

Here’s another one for the whole family. Pack a picnic basket and enjoy the dulcet tones of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra as you welcome a brand new year with open arms. You’ll also have your pick of the area’s best food trucks, and craft beers and wines will be on sale as well.
