Muizenberg Beach’s wide, flat coastline is perfect for frolicking in the sand and building sandcastles. The water here is just a smidge warmer than most others in the area, making it the ideal spot for a quick dip.

Home to a colony of African Penguins, Boulders Beach is a great spot for families. While there is an entrance fee, the small amount covers an exhibit on the penguins and provides access to clean toilets and outdoor showers.
3. The Beach at Sea Point

The beach at Sea Point is an amazing spot for various reasons. Adjacent to the Promenade, it provides access to the local swimming pools as well as some fantastic food vendors. Rent a bike to cycle up and down the promenade, relax on the beach, and enjoy the perfect sun-filled day outdoors.
4. Silwerstroom Beach

Located along the West Coast, Silwerstroom Beach is a fantastic spot for families to really get back to basics. The grass banks along the beachfront are dotted with play areas, braai facilities, outdoor showers, and clean bathrooms. The main attraction is a fairly large tidal pool for kiddies to paddle around in – and parents too!
